Theodicy
A combination of two Greek words: theo being the Greek word for God, and dikaios meaning justification.
Primarily, the study and criticism of Christianity in the existence of evil.
By the way, this topic is a test of your Christian faith. God tells us His word is sufficient, so if we cannot find solace in scripture for the existence of evil in the sight of a Holy God, our struggle is personal justification not the existence of evil.
Evil – Not something you can pick up and throw at a person, it is evil in the hearts and minds of men.
Suffering – Internal and external impacts on our physical existence, be it a disease or storm.
God’s existence in the site of evil and suffering. The disobedience to God caused separation with man and corruption of the creation. Through Christ, man is redeemed and at the final consummation all evil in the universe will be destroyed. People of peace who repented and believed on Christ will be saved.
